Personal tools

KRZR K1 File Transfer

From Guides

by sebgonz

This tutorial will help those who, as of yet, do not know how to transfer files from their computer to their phone.

In this guide, we will be using P2K Tools 3. Other versions of P2K Tools don?t work for the KRZR K1. You MUST use P2K Tools 3.

What you will need:

P2K Tools 3 (Latest Version)

File that you want to transfer to phone (in this guide, we will be transferring a ring tone. Thats because its easy.)

Once you have all the things that you need, read on.

Open P2K Tools 3 and select P2K mode. Your phone will then briefly disconnect and reconnect.

Once your phone shows connected in the bottom left corner, click Refresh and then you will get a screen like the one below.

P2K Tools is now reading the files on your phone. Sit back and relax while it does this.

Once your files are loaded, you will see a folder tree on the left. In that tree, navigate to C/mobile/audio. This is where your ring tones from your phone are stored. And it is here that we will put the ring tone you chose to transfer.

Click the Upload button located at the top.

Navigate to where you have saved the file on your computer.

Select the file and then click open.

P2K Tools will then begin transferring the file to your phone. You get to just sit back and relax while this happens.

Once your file is transferred to the phone, select Reboot Phone from the phone menu.

Then you are done!!

Note: The KRZR K1 does not have two files that were on previous phone models: the two .DB files are no longer necessary to delete, since they are not there.
