RIZR Z3 Mute Buttons Without Muting Slider Tone

From Guides

by vitrubio

You just have to download the attached ui_event_config and open it with XVI32.

Don´t forget to do a backup.

Look at the right side and it says what buttons you can personalize, for example:

- Scrolling1Line_Lite is for the "Up, Down, Left and Right" buttons.

If you want to mute all the buttons, just upload a soundless .wav file to your memory card.

Most of the sounds are named (on this file) Scrolling.wav, you have to change the name to whatever you want, but i recomend this:

- SmartKey_Lite=/b/mobile/audio/SmartSound.wav (or .mp3)

That means you´ll have to upload a file named as "SmartSound" to your memory card. obviously, it will sound when you press the SmartKey

if you put it like:

SMARTKEY_LITE
=/b/mobile/audio/SmartSound.mp3
it will play an .mp3 file

Save changes and put it on your cellphone (a/mobile/system)

That would be it... If you have some doubt, let me know it.

Edited:

If you only want to personalize the:
- Open slider.
- Close slider.
- Scrolling.

And keep all the other tones...

Download the:
ui_event_config [scrolling, open & close]

- All the tones must be on memory card.
- The Open Slider tone must be named "open".
- The Close Slider tone must be named "close".
- The Scrolling tone must be named "scrolling".
- They all must be .mp3 files.

Edited... again

ok... because I keep receiving private messages about how to do it, I´ll put the steps right here:

- ui_event_config must be uploaded in (a/mobile/system)

1) Look for your ui_event_config
You´ll need P2KTools, it´s right here:
http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/down...o=file&id=6647

1.
Open P2KTools and press the "Refresh" button, it will load your cellphone´s files to the software.

2. Get into (a/mobile/system) folder and search your ui_event_config.

3. Select it and press the "Download" button. Just to make a backup.

4. Download any of those files Attached to the Thread and extract it.

5. Upload it to your phone, it will replace the original one. Don´t forget... it´s on (a/mobile/system)

If you have chosen "Personalize event_config.rar" you´ll have to edit it with XVI32 to rename the files you will use.

3) Edit ui_event_config
you´ll need XVI32, it´s right here:
http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/down...do=file&id=314

1.
Load your new ui_event_config to the XVI32.

2. Look at the right side, every button has a route... something like:
- ...SCROLLING1LINE_LITE=/b/mobile/audio/scrolling.mp3

=/b/ (means Memory Card)
=/c/ (means SIM card)
mobile/audio (means you´ll have to upload your tone to the "Audio" folder)

3. Personalize every name because if you leave like it is now... all tones will be the same.

but... how can I personalize it?

Just click the first letter of the file´s name and start writing a new one... for example:

-To change the "scrolling" file name, just find the (SCROLLING1LINE_LITE) and click on the -s- letter:

...SCROLLING1LINE_LITE=/b/mobile/audio/scrolling.wav

And then start to wirte any name you want, you can use an .mp3 by just changing ".wav" for ".mp3" at the end of the filename.

If your new filename is smaller than the one over there... just press "Supr" to delete the extra letters.

Save changes and upload your new ui_event_config to your phone.

Again...
ui_event_config must be on (a/mobile/system).

And the .wav or .mp3 files must be on (b/mobile/audio), "Audio" folder on memory stick... if you want to save your tones on SIM card just change:
=/b/mobile/audio/filename.wav
for
=/c/mobile/audio/filename.wav

If you have a doubt... let me know.
