Razr v3 Uploading Images with MPT

From Guides

by poetic_folly

This tutorial will teach you how to upload images (screensavers, wallpapers, cl.gif's (the outer lcd image when the phone is open), and more) to your Motorola Razr.

The Razr image dimensions are:

Wallpapers and screensavers--176x220 px.
cl.gif (outer LCD image when phone is open)-96x80 px.

First, make sure you have Mobile Phone Tools (commonly referred to as MPT) installed. If you don't, click here and follow the entire page.
OK, so you have MPT installed now, go ahead and open it if you haven't already. Click the multi-media icon to open the MultiMedia studio, and hit the tab on the right called "Image Studio".

All right. Now, go to the My Images tab, and navigate to the picture you want to upload to your phone. Make sure it is the correct size--wallpapers/screensavers should be 176x220 px, and the cl.gif should be 96x80 px. Once you have selected the image you want to transfer, click "Transfer" . I know, its pretty tough. You'll get it. ;)

You will see the copy status screen as it transfers the image to your phone..

Congratulations! Check the Multimedia>Pictures folder on your phone, your image will now be there and be ready to be used!
